The Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gong, also known as a Feng or Sun Gong, is traditionally handcrafted in China from a special bronze alloy. Its nearly flat shape allows for an expansive tonal range, producing deep, resonant tones that transition into wave-like overtones with dynamic playing.

Kun represents the earth, the divine feminine, and the nurturing aspects of creation. It is one of the eight Chinese trigrams, symbolizing receptivity and grounding energy.
