The Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gong, also referred to as a Feng or Sun Gong, is traditionally handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy. Its near-flat shape allows for fully open sound production, creating a broad tonal spectrum with wave-like overtones.

Engraved with the Kun symbol, this gong embodies stability, grounding energy, and feminine power in Taoist philosophy. Kun is one of the eight Chinese trigrams, symbolizing receptivity and deep earthly connection.
