The Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gong, also known as a Feng or Sun Gong, is traditionally handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy. Its nearly flat design allows for a fully open sound, creating a wide tonal spectrum with deep, resonant vibrations and wave-like overtones.

Engraved with the Kun symbol, this gong represents grounding, feminine energy, and stability in Taoist philosophy. Kun is one of the eight Chinese trigrams, signifying receptivity and connection to the earth's nurturing forces.
