The Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gong, also known as a Feng or Sun Gong, is traditionally handcrafted in China from a special bronze alloy. Its nearly flat design allows for a fully open sound, creating a rich tonal spectrum with deep, resonant vibrations and wave-like overtones.

Engraved with the Kun symbol, this gong represents the Earth, feminine energy, and nurturing power. In Taoist philosophy, Kun is one of the eight trigrams, symbolizing stability, receptivity, and grounding forces.
