The Meinl Sonic Energy 40" Wind Gong is a traditionally handcrafted instrument known for its expansive tonal spectrum and long sustain. Also called a Feng or Sun Gong, its nearly flat shape allows the voice to fully open, producing deep, rolling waves of sound.

When played softly, this gong delivers dominant lower tones, while more powerful strikes create wave-like overtones that fill the space with energy. Each Wind Gong is carefully forged using a special bronze alloy and ships with a corresponding beater.
